About Me

Hello and Welcome:

First and foremost – I am in no way associated with Steely Dan and or the song of the title “Deacon Blues”. I picked up the nick name Deacon several years ago via some online friends and couple that with a love of the blues, a name was born. I found out shortly after that there was a song by the same name and, while it is a good song and well done, I have no association with it or the preforming group. All rights to the song reference and name belong to that of the recording company. This blog was originally titled “Deacon Blues Blog” hence the url, however to prevent any concerns over infringement the name was updated to “Deacon Blue Three Point OH!!”. The URL however has stayed the same as it was available for purchase and therefore I see no concerns with rights to it as I paid for the right to use it from the ICANN registrar.

Right then – the legal crap aside… So, about me….

I am currently making the journey through life and discovering my beliefs systems sans youthful ignorance and including an appreciation of the whole. I am also on a distinct adventure of attempting to improve my health situations related to obesity. And then there is everything in between that is common to the human experience.

I am also attempting to write my first novel. A scifi adventure full of political intrigue and mystery. But I’ve not made a great deal of progress at this time. I am hoping to renew my efforts with this goal and finally get things going at the pace I prefer.

I am also a bit of an anglophile – so there are times when my speech/writing patterns often have little quirks not primarily native to my location. And can also lead to posts about some of the wonderful TV entertainment that I am able to track down from primarily the UK.

Add to this my total technophile addiction and you will find quickly.. I’m a proud geek. And I am always thirsting to learn more.

Central MA is where I call home now – just about 45 minutes west of Boston. I am originally from Northeast TN. This was a move made out of necessity for work but one that has been good for me for life as well. I am learning who I am again and where I fit in this big little world.

One of the things that attracted me to the north was the social acceptance levels, somewhere I can live openly as a young gay man. An environment conducive to finding who I am without having to hide and be ashamed. I love my hometown back in TN but I could never fully be who I am in that social climate.

For those interested – I am single and looking for someone to share my life with in a long term relationship, and have ZERO interest in random hook-ups or 1 night stands.

If you would like to know more I will leave it up to those you – if you want to know something then use the Contact Me page and ask. I will post the Questions and Answers here unless otherwise requested not to.

Happy Surfing!
